Vera Hohaus (C1) to give talks at ICAL 12 and AFLA 19
Vera Hohaus (C1) is headed to Asia at the end of the month to present her research on Samoan at the Twelfth International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics (ICAL 12) in Bali and the 19th annual meeting of the Austronesian Formal Linguistics Association (AFLA 19) in Taipei.
At ICAL Vera will give a talk on “Context Dependancy in the Semantics of Samoan” and at AFLA she will talk about “Gradability and Modality: Evidence from Samoan”. Wishing Vera all the best for her trip!
For anyone who can’t make it to Taipei or Bali, but is interested in hearing one of Vera’s talks: She will give a practice talk for AFLA this Thursday in the PhD Students’ Colloquium at 16h in Nauklerstraße 35!
